Most trials are built around the seller's needs. Seven days, then a wall. It's not designed for you to experience the value — it's designed to manufacture urgency. You know this. Everyone knows this. It's still the standard.

We built something different.

The problem with the countdown

A trial that ends on a fixed date is a well-intentioned lie. The seller says: "Try us free." What they mean is: "You have seven days to make a decision, whether or not you've had time to understand what you're buying."

That works for tools. If you're testing a project management app, you know within a day whether it fits your workflow. But Mentor Direkt is not a tool. It's a relationship. And relationships take time.

A mentor who knows your situation, remembers what you've shared, and reaches out when something is worth addressing — that's not something you understand in a day. It requires actual exchanges. It requires something to start happening.

A trial that ends when something does

Mentor Direkt's trial doesn't end on a fixed date. It ends when your mentor judges that something real has started to take shape in the conversation — a pattern, an insight, a thread worth continuing.

That might be day four. It might be day eleven. It might, if nothing truly lands, be day fourteen — that's the ceiling. But we don't ask because the calendar says it's time. We ask because the mentor has seen something worth continuing.

We don't ask because the calendar says it's time. We ask because the mentor has seen something worth continuing.

And when the question comes, it's not a system notification. It's your mentor. In their voice. With a reference to what you've actually been working through.

Why it matters

This isn't a positioning trick. It's a consequence of what the product actually is.

If we believe that a good mentor earns trust before asking for anything — that the relationship should have started before money enters the picture — then we can't have a trial that behaves as if the opposite were true. The trial has to follow the same logic as the product.

And it does. We never charge automatically. We never send a system message saying your trial has ended. Your mentor reaches out — in their voice, with a reference to what you've been talking about — and says they want to continue. It costs 99 SEK a month. That's what it's worth deciding.

It's a different way to sell. We think it's the right way for this product.
